Blackfox Boots Review
Quality – ★★★★☆
Price – ★★★★☆
Overall – ★★★★☆
Hanya’s two favourite things at the moment are jumping and puddles, (thanks Peppa….) so the chance to review the Blackfox boots seemed like too good an opportunity to miss.
The poor child has taken after me and has REALLY skinny feet, to the point that I get embarrassed in Clarks when they say she’s not even an E width, so wellies and boots are always a problem as her foot slides about without really thick socks.
When the boots arrived, Hanya was more taken with the two packets of mini Love Hearts that were included, where as I was really pleased as the boots have a furry lining inside the whole boot – perfect for skinny feet! They look great – from a distance they look just like Uggs and it’s not until you’re up close that you can tell they’re not suede.
After eating the sweets, it was time to test! There’s not much to tell which boot is left and which is right, so after a few ‘wrong foot’ attempts she managed to get them on herself more easily that she can with her wellies. She said they were comfy and started happily jumping straight away.
I almost didn’t want her to jump in any muddy puddles because the boots look so nice and clean but in the true spirit of reviewing, Hanya went for it. A bit too much. The water splashed down the inside of the boots and the furry lining was soaked. The outside of the boots were wet but the water just rolled off, exactly like a welly!
When she took the boots off her feet were toasty and warm and after sitting on the radiator the insides did dry out but it took some time.
The boots are like wellies in that they don’t bend like Ugg boots, they are quite ridged and I’ve seen Hanya drag her feet a bit after walking for a while like she does in her normal wellies. The boots haven’t scuffed and don’t show any signs of wear yet.
Overall, I love the boots, they look fantastic, are warmer than her usual wellies and easy to clean and dry. The only downside for me is the price, they are expensive for wellies but they are the same price as the winter boots I bought from Clarks. They’re more practical in the rain, they look fabulous and can be worn for everyday, Hanya worn hers with a Halloween costume but also when we cleared up leaves in the garden. They come in 3 colours and are also available in adult sizes.
Thanks for you review Helen and Hanya!
Would you trade your wellies for the Blackfox Boots?
