A few weeks ago I interviewed Myleene Klass about her award-winning Baby K range (I don’t know if mentioned it…!) at the relaunch of Mothercare in Team Valley and whilst I was there I picked up a few goodies. I’ve been on high-alert to make sure no one accidentally puts Reuben in any of the clothes before I had chance to do my first Mothercare Haul Vlog! With the help of my beautiful assistant (yes I’m biased but seriously, someone give that kid a modelling contract!), yesterday we got to work.
Mothercare Haul Vlog
Mothercare Haul – Modelled by Reuben
If you ain’t a fan of Vlogs (here’s looking at you, Donna!), these photos are for you. Enjoy (but please be aware that Reuben is in desperate need of a haircut!!).
1. Knitted Cardigan – £17, Baby K
I love this Grandad Cardi – I think it’s just the most versatile piece of kit with it’s fleecy lining. Something to wear when it’s mild outside, or to get cosy with at home. I can see me putting it on Reuben first thing in the morning before the heating has really kicked in. You know, when he should be asleep. Something I did notice about this is that you need to think carefully about what you put on underneath as it’s quite low (it’s definitely on the big side for Reuben!).
2. Mustard Parka – £33, Baby K
I LOVE THIS COAT… so cosy and warm and soft and fluffy and everything I love in coat (it’s very similar to mine! Except much more colourful) but, there’s always a but, it’s a tad long! I said in the Vlog that I might have got him a size down (he’s 27 months and is wearing the 2-3 coat) but actually when I watched him running around in it, it fitted perfectly around the body. So, for toddlers with shorter legs, this is a keeping warm coat not a running about/doing karate kicks in the air coat. Still love it though and how cute is it with the Grandad Cardi?!
My little mod
3. Leather Chelsea Boots – £26, Mothercare
The first time I tried these boots on Reuben he screamed the place down. He has a thing about new shoes though! I think these boots are adorable. Granted £26 is steep (I tend to get his shoes from an outlet for around £15 for Clarks and I think his Nike high tops were a similar price) but these boots are real leather, they are padded and I got the next size up! We’re just going to double up on socks while the weather’s a bit chillier and really get a lot of wear out of them.
4. Star Jumper – £15, Baby K
I did think that although this jumper is super-cute that perhaps it wouldn’t suit Reuben’s colouring being quite dark, he tends to suit a brighter colour. But, I love him in it. It’s potentially a bit pricy if you compare to the super market prices but the quality is there. The stars have a lovely texture and the different textures to the knit all add to the ‘this is a more special jumper’ feel.
End of the night/cosy slippers/getting tired pose!
