Next week I will be sunning myself in Portugal (!!) but my wonderful friend Aby will be holding the Listy, not to be confused with lusty, fort over at You Baby Me Mummy while I’m away. Thanks Aby!
This week the highlight has got to be eating Greek food with one of my blogging idols Honest Mum! With a sickness bug, the lovely Katie from Pouting in Heels had to stay in bed so what was going to be a boozy lunch turned into quick fire questions from me as I got ask Vicki all of my burning questions about her career as a professional blogger. This woman is properly rocking the blogging industry and all while looking after 2 young boys (who I also got to meet with her lovely husband and Papa G, himself, and her Brother – a proper family affair!).
She is so inspiring and as warm, friendly, vivacious and honest (she gave some great pointers for improving my blog!) in real life as you would imagine. And all this while eating gorgeous Greek food from her parent’s award-winning Greek restaurant, The Olive Tree…
Greek Salad, a Seafood Salad, and Prawns and Feta – lovingly served to me by Vicki (I love being looked after!)
The Vicki had a very healthy yogurt and chicken dish, while I just had to go for the Lamb Kebabs (I’ve been thinking about them ever since this…)
Blog and Social
The other thing I did this week was really try and pull out the stops with my competition entry for Sykes Holidays, “hidden veg” ice lolly. I’ve discovered through a strengths finding test that Competition is one of my biggest strengths. I always saw it as a flaw…more on that to follow. But I think it helped me to do the best job I could and as a result, even without winning, I feel like I’ve created some much better content that I’m proud of!
I need more competitions to up my game!
Jocelyn at the Reading Residence has only been blogging a year and yet she’s put together this wonderful post with her top 20 tips for bloggers!
And, of course, Vicki from Honest Mum!
