It’s just started to occur to me that we have less than 11 months until Thomas starts school, whilst I am excited about this there is also some trepidation at the prospect of being a school mum!
One thing I’d like to master before Thomas starts is to learn to tie shoelaces, so when we were given an opportunity to try out Lace’mups as a Mum’s Day reviewer I was pretty pleased.
Lace’mups is a small piece of rubber which attaches to a key ring clip to carry around.
Thomas had already grasped the concept of shoelaces and gave it a very good try although he always ended up getting himself tied up at the end!
Because Thomas doesn’t have any shoes with laces at the moment, we used Daddy’s boots to practice on, the instructions were clear and easy to follow and in no time at all we had laces successfully tied.
After a couple of attempts Thomas even managed it on his own.
The idea is that eventually, the child should be able to tie them without the need for the lace’mups.
Lace’mups is a great product for tying laces although, I do wonder how practical this would be for a school aged child to use on their own and carry around whilst learning. T, however, loves using it and will practice for far longer using it than getting frustrated and giving up without.
Lace’mups are £2.49 with free P&P from Lace’mups.com
Thanks for your review Leandra and Thomas!
