UKick Review
Quality: ★★★☆☆
Price: ★★★★☆
Overall: ★★★☆☆
We received a UKick by Wicked a little while ago and my son, Jake, is always inquisitive whenever a package arrives, always wanting to know if it’s for him! (He is nearly 4….going on 14!!) He couldn’t wait and before I knew it UKick was out of the box and being inspected.
From looking at the box it looks impressive, but fragile. It consists of 4 large feathers (which don’t look like they would have a long life) , a base and 5 weight disks, which would be easily lost.
I’m unsure of the age this toy is aimed at as the package just says unsuitable for under 3’s. It was a little old for my son but we gave it a go.
I explained the basics and gave it to my son to have a go… this resulted with him throwing it in the air and it landing straight on the floor, numerous times!
He didn’t quite have the Co ordination to try and hit it again go keep it in the air.
Saying that I had a go my self and only managed it a couple of times as did my husband. (I presume you need some practice or skills to master this toy, either that or be a professional footballer!)
The box advertises the website and that there are ‘tricks’ to master, but we were just trying to master keeping it in the air!!
We did have a little fun sending it around family members to see if they ‘had the skill’… non did!
Overall I feel this is a toy for a very specific child, not just a general bordem buster. I would say unless you are buying for someone who loves sport/football then don’t waste your £7.99!
