Looking good has never been so cosy!
I’m into my 3rd week and my 20 hour ski challenge and I’m loving it! The only barrier now is my own fear. With my lovely instructor at the Silksworth Sports Complex, Lesley, on her way to Austria as we speak, I’m braving it alone. But more to come on that later in the week. I have something equally as important to talk about today…Winter Fashion and my ski gear from Protest, which you will have a chance to win! Scroll to the bottom of the post for all the information.

Winter Fastion: Protest Haul and Competition
I have leant a lot about winter clothing recently, or more to the point, what I’ve been doing wrong! I think the crux of the matter is that I have basically have never owned warm clothing. So being outside, unless you are moving quite quickly, has not been something I enjoyed in the winter.
All that has changed since Protest have introduced warm winter fashion into my life and here is the latest…
For the past week or so I’ve been trying out a new ski outfit during my lessons.
I loved the 1st outfit soooo much, which was featured in the post, How to Ski, I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about this one.
But, I love it too!
It’s very different from the 1st and to quote Lesley, her first reaction was “It’s so retro!”, which she definitely meant as a good thing!
The jacket is the Melissa Snowjacket, which is warm, bright and more functional than an swiss army knife!
My favourite feature is the built-in sleeves that keep your hands extra warm. It even has a little flap like on new born baby grows to fold over your fingers!
There’s also loads of pockets, for everything from your ski pass to your goggles, it really has skiing in mind. But it’s also stylish enough to wear off the slopes too (basically you’d be happy in this for any outdoor activity!).
The jacket is really warm on its own but I’m so won over by the extra layer this Mute 1/4 zip top fleece offers. I’ve had a few lessons in the pouring rain and it’s made such a difference to have this light but very warm layer. I wish I’d had something like this earlier in the year for some of our colder castle visits!
Oh my goodness, I’m in love with waterproof trousers! I always thought they were baggy and unflattering but Protest really have changed my mind on that one. The Redworth Softshell Snowpants in this set are a slim fit bootcut and they are comfy, warm and have kept me dry on even the wettest day… they’re also pretty darn stylish!
So that’s my Winter fashion haul!
And the good news is you could be in with a chance of winning the Melissa Snowjacket and the Redworth Softshell Snowpants! All you have to do is fill in the rafflecopter below.
