Ah, I love Amy Poehler.
If you haven't watched Parks and Recreation please go and do that now. I've watched the whole series twice and it's the PERFECT post-breakup binge watch. You can lick your wounds AND restore your faith in humanity whilst falling in love with this wonderful bunch of characters.
I love Amy's quote here too. It perfectly sums up the transition that is divorce - the fear, the anxiety, the overwhelm and wondering what's going to break.
Thankfully, there's a tool kit of techniques that make it possible to go through your divorce and manage this anxiety, keeping you grounded and moving you into confidence.
For example, simple as it may seem, breathing is an incredible way to bring you back into your body and away from anxiety, reminding yourself that you are safe and any danger you may be feeling is not immediate.
